I want to tell a story.
At my core, I am a storyteller - whether I am writing those stories or performing them. I am fascinated by the stories we have created - and I want to honor those stories, while also creating my own original stories. Stories are at the heart of our society - I am inspired by our stories from the past, our stories from the present, and the stories from the depths of our minds. And I want to tell them all.
A little about me:
Hi, I’m Kate. (Or Katie. Depends on how well you know me!) My favorite way to describe myself is a jack of all trades. I hate not knowing how to do something, so when I learn a new skill, I learn it well. And that mindset has set me up for a budding (and hopefully successful) career as a theatre multihyphenate.
I recently graduated from Appalachian State University with two bachelor’s degrees: B.A. in Theatre Arts (concentration in performance) and a B.A. in English (concentration on creative writing). As I venture into post-grad life, I hope to pursue a career in writing, acting, and directing for the stage.
Oh, and I like cats.
(this is Scout and she is my three-year-old rescue kitty!)
